10 hour Intensive course
Through out the year, KMT runs all over the year specific 10 hour
courses in of Russian language for beginners.
These course is a set of 10 lessons in a group.
Each lesson is one hour in duration.
The lessons cover some of the basic language concepts that you will
should find useful in everyday situations.
The informal low-structure approach encourages foreigners who have
never taken lessons, or those who have started but not continued,
to develop further their interest in learning a language.
Weekend courses
This Russian course is designed for business people who can only
fit their language lessons only into on weekends. The course is
structured in modules of five sessions. There is one session on
Friday (17:00-19:00), two on Saturday and two on Sunday (10:00-12:00/
13:00-15:00). The content of this course can be arranged at any
level. Students may request a particular line of study to suit their
own interests and purpose. Part of each session is a conversational
lesson.
General Russian Language courses
All General Language courses are structured in levels comprising
30 hours instruction.
(R-1.) Beginner.
The course provides knowledge of the Russian alphabet and basic
reading skills. The main purpose of this course is to develop colloquial
Russian in basic conversations in order to feel comfortable without
an interpreter or an English-Russian phrase-book. Therefore grammar
material and reading serve as a background for learning the language.
(R-2) Elementary I. The purpose of this module is to teach
the beginner to speak on everyday and cultural subjects and to read
elementary Russian texts with the aid of a dictionary. At the end
of this course students will be able to construct sentences and
build conversations independently. It also develops student's ability
to listen and read.
(R-3) Elementary II. The aim of this course is to develop
a direct and automatic response to phrases and to speak about daily
occurrences in Russian. This course develops a further basic knowledge
of Russian and extends speaking, reading, and writing skills. The
aim of the practical lessons of this course is to correct the Russian
speech of students and enrich their vocabulary.
(R-4) Intermediate. This program is for those students who
already have a basic understanding and competence in spoken or written
Russian and who wish to progress to further study. The structure
of this level enables foreigners to satisfy their communication
needs in a wide range of situations and Russian reading.
(R-5) Advanced. The structure of this program depends on
the student’s purpose in learning Russian. Therefore the student
and the language training advisor of KMT select the chosen sphere
of Russian language together and choose from the wide set of KMT
learning materials.
The amount of classs hours is set up individually for each student.
(R-6) Business Russian. This course is intended for students
who have completed an intermediate or advanced level course and
who want to develope the skills necessary for day to day work in
a Russian-speaking business environment. Speaking and listening
skills are the central focus of these materials, while reading and
writing are provided in a support level context.
Intensive course
This KMT course contains 36 hours per week. The choice of the starting
date depends on the participant's personal desire. The program of
the course is designed by the KMT teacher-methodologist and the
student on the basis of special modules of study specified by the
student in his enrollment form. Modules include:
1. Linguaphone Course (developing listening skills)
2. Grammar Course (developing Grammar knowledge)
3. Reading Course (developing quick reading skills)
4. Conversational Course (developing colloquial skills)
5. Writing Course (developing writing skills)
Each module are taught by the different teacher, that helps students
to understand various styles of speech and make the language learning
process close to the real situations.
The schedule of the day is based on 3 modules per day, each 2 hours
length.
This Individual course is the most suitable variant for people who
are eager to spend a week studying the language and to have a good
command of Russian. Excellent opportunity to understand and to feel
