Summer Course for students of Russian Language and Geology Course length: 4 weeks
The KMT Company provides Foreign Language Courses and Educational Courses in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan Republic. Baku is situated in the south-western part of Apsheron peninsula on the shores of the Caspian Sea. It is a very ancient fortress city and port situated on the ancient "Silk Road" whose petroleum wealth, first reported by Marco Polo, has been exploited since pre-history.
KMT specialises in providing foreign language studies aligned with professional educational programmes in Geology and other technical disciplines.
The Geology course curriculum is designed to provide first-hand acquaintance with the principal geological characteristics of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is well known in the Geology world as a unique area and a place of famous oilfields and natural gas deposits, mud volcanoes and open fires from natural seeps on the land surface. The course consists of classroom lectures, field surveys and laboratory exercises and provides a practical course of study in the geology of the Apsheron peninsula and Shemaha region of Azerbaijan. The course's schedule is modular and flexible and can be constructed to meet the student's needs, after discussions with course participants, and modified according to their language and geology study preference requirements. In general the course is planned in four individual one week blocks, each consisting of 5 days study and each block covers Language Study, Geology Introductory lectures and Geology route practical field study. Accommodation KMT will organize individual accommodation for the students with host families in Baku, that will help language course participants to experience local family life and practice the language they are learning.
